I have the honor of supporting five families now who have now, for the first time, been able to communicate with their children with the aid of FC. It is wonderful beyond words to hear the voices of these previously frustrated and misunderstood children, who now have a direct way to tell people what they most want to say. I have found that FC greatly helps people to begin to see these children as people first, and then second, as a son or a daughter with the diagnosis of autism. I know that all of these families were inspired and motivated by Kayla's Voice. This dvd is a great and convincing way to introduce people to FC. I cannot recommend it enough!

As a professor of special education, I teach FC as a form of communication support for individuals who don't communicate verbally. I've been truly lucky to know Kayla and have her come in person to speak to my classes. This DVD is so wonderful because it offers both an insight into Kayla's life, and because it gives a broader understanding of FC supports and various individuals who use them. The DVD is really powerful and important- thank you to those who produce it and to the Takeuichi's for not being afraid to share Kayla's story!

I have been an alternative health care practitioner for over 30 years and have had the opportunity to work with many autistic individuals. I met Kayla 2 years ago when she was just beginning to use FC to communicate. It has been such a blessing to have a avenue of communication with Kayla. She has such a beautiful, kind and caring personality. She is smart and has a lot to say. If it were not for FC, none of us would ever get to know her and learn from her. I honestly believe that Kayla will change the world of autism as we know it. Her goal to go to college and to help others with autism is now an attainable goal for her. Thank you for this amazing video to share with the world. I look forward to sharing it with others.

As Kayla's dad, I would like to express my thanks to Liz and Stephen for producing the facilitated communication documentary, "Kayla's Voice". After the Syracuse presentation, Kayla has been an empowered teen who takes on her own daily scheule with purpose as well as continuing her goal of advocating for others with autism who don't yet have a voice. I am so grateful that Kayla is a happy, smiling young lady who is progressing through life one day at a time now that she has found her voice through FC.

After watching the trailer I had mixed feelings....the first was for JOY that finally autism individuals can communicate. Then I had a sense of SADNESS for all those who have not been introduced and made aware of FC and are still silent and frustrated. As the video states, "we are all in it together".....we with "voice" MUST "communicate" and educate others about this form of communication. Last evening upon returning from a trip I saw a 60 minutes piece done about Camilla Parkers Boles' nephew that is a music savant. The major theme of the piece was that this young man communicates through music. Kayla and so many other individuals have the ability to communicate through FC if we do our job by getting the word out!!!! I am sending this sight information to all those on my e-mail address book.....

Thanks again, Liz and Stephen....it is an honor to be associated with you both.
